Biography

Manmohan Singh Shishodia received his B.Sc. and M.Sc.(Physics) degrees from Meerut University Meerut (presently known as Ch. C.S. University Meerut) in 1993 and 1995 respectively. He received his M.Phil (Material Science) degree from University of Roorkee (presently known as I.I.T. Roorkee) in 1997 and M.Tech (Solid State Materials) degree from I.I.T Delhi in December 1999. Then he worked as lecturer in an engineering institute in the academic year 2000-2001. He joined the Fiber-Optics group, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi as a research scholar in 2001. He completed his postdoctorate from Georgia State University, Atlanta (USA) and the University of Tel-Aviv, Israel (jointly with Holon Institute of Technology, Israel). He has been awarded fellowships from DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), and CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India). He has also availed various scholarships namely, integrated scholarship, national scholarship, and scholarship from Education Directorate during his studies. His current research interests include the development of indigenous tools for designing, modeling, and simulation of plasmonic nanosystems, nanophotonic systems & devices; experimental studies on nanoparticle-based plasmonic systems; numerical methods; photodetectors; nanosensors; solar cells; FRET.
