Dr. Prachi Nautiyal is a Doctorate in Environmental Science. Her functional area of research includes soil ecology, carbon sequestration, and climate resilience. She possesses experience of working in the Himalayan ecosystems specifically in the agro-ecosystems. She has qualified UGC-NET as well as ICAR-NET and has also worked as a senior research fellow (SRF) on an ICAR-NICRA funded project primarily aimed at climate-resilience in the Himalayan agricultural systems (PI: Dr. Kusum Arunachalam, Prof & Head, SENR, Doon University, and Dr. A. Arunachalam, Director, CAFRI, Jhansi). Being a profound nature lover, she shows a keen interest in bird watching and is an animal welfare activist (associated with Humane Society International-India).
Talking about the publications, she has five research papers to her credit. Her publications also include international journals of repute. Besides, she has teaching experience of around three years and is presently working as a faculty on contract in the Department of Environmental Sciences, GBU.
