Pooja Thareja post graduated with a Gold Medal in Masters in Urban Planning from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women in 2021. She secured 1st position for overall academic excellence at the Institute level in Bachelor of Architecture from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 2018. She has approximately 2.5 years of professional experience which includes working with prestigious government organizations like NITI Aayog. She has worked on a WASH-based partnership project with UNICEF and some large-scale architectural projects like the additional office complex of Supreme Court of India, IIT Delhi, DTU phase 2 Bawana, etc. She is a member of the Council of Architecture (COA) and has attended Faculty Development Programmes organized by the Training and Research Centre of COA. She has presented a research paper at an international conference on Urban Forestry that is to be published in a Routledge, Taylor and Francis publication. She has attended online certification courses on Co-creating sustainable cities, Global environmental management and Innovative governance of large urban systems. Her research interests include sustainable development, inclusive planning, and architecture pedagogy. Currently, she is working as Faculty on Contract in the Architecture and Planning Department of Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida.
