Biography

Dr. Gunjan Garg is presently working as Assistant Professor in the School of Biotechnology, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, India. She is UGC-NET and Raj. SLET qualified. She has over 22 years of academic and research experience and has published many research papers in various reputed national / international journals and conference proceedings as well.

She is first Assistant Professor who joined Gautam Buddha University in February 2008 and played important role with team of the First Vice Chancellor Prof. R. S Nirjar for functionality of the University in initial phases. She had worked as Head of Department. Currently working as key member of Proctorial Board. She also worked as Chairperson-GBU Anti ragging committee, Coordinator-MGPT-All India entrance test-GBU, member of Gravilance cell and various other administrative responsibilities.

Her areas for interest are Plant Biotechnology, Plant Tissue Culture (especially on medicinal plant), Stress Physiology and Biochemistry, metabolic engineering, Cell and Molecular Biology, Environmental Biotechnology etc. Currently she is guiding 2 Ph. D Scholar and supervised 01 doctorate and more than 30 project students. She has very good command in Teaching, Imparting education, Administrative works and research areas related to Plant stress Physiology and plant tissue culture.
