Dr. Imteyaz Qamar is a Molecular biologist, working as a Assistant Professor (Senior Level) at the school of Biotechnology, Gautam Buddha University. Dr. Qamar is a well experienced in Handling of animals, Culturing of various cell lines (primary, cancerous etc) and Cloning and expression system etc.
His area of interest is Molecular Cancer biology and Transcriptional regulation of various genes involved in metabolic syndromes. Dr. Qamar obtained his Doctoral degree specialized in Molecular endocrinology from Hormone Research Centre, Chonnam National University, Republic of Korea with an emphasis on Gene regulation and Physiological function of an androgen receptor corepressor-19kD (ARR-19) in testicular cells using Animal Model.
During his research carrier he published several high impact factor research articles such as Aging (NY Albany) 2020, Journal of Biomolecular Structure & Dynamics (JBSD) Jan 2021, March 2020 & July 2020, RSC Advances (2016), Nature's Scientific Reports (Sci Rep) 2015, The Journal of Biological Chemistry (JBC) 2009 & 2010 etc.
Dr. Qamar received several awards such as STE Meritorious Award 2019, Brain Korea-21 Best Research Presentation Award, Bharath Vikas award 2016, Young Scientist Award 2017 & 2019 etc. Currently Dr. Qamar has several sponsored research projects from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Council of Scientific Industrial Research (CSIR) etc and served various national/international journals as a member of editorial team. He is also a member of The Endocrine Society, United States of America (USA).
